Arlene Clark "Friends of Kids" Junior Scholarship Fund

Dear Tennis Friend,



I am writing to tell you about a great program we have here at VTC. It is called the Arlene Clark "Friends of Kids" Junior Scholarship Fund. This worthwhile program collects donor funds and uses these funds to give under-privileged children with exceptional abilities and drive an opportunity to participate in lesson programs at VTC at little or no cost. In addition, this program will help cover some or all of the costs of getting these deserving kids involved in tournament tennis in our area and throughout the Pacific Northwest. 

This program was co-founded by Arlene Clark and myself and is run by a committee that includes myself, Arlene, VTC staff members and other tennis enthusiasts such as yourself. This committee works to secure private donations and/or other outside funding from various sources to fund this program. In addition, the committee has developed an application form for potential recipients, distribute/collect applications, screen applicants and select recipients. 

This fund is a 501(c)3 tax exempt account. All donations are tax deductible. If you are interested in being a donor, please contact VTC and ask to be sent a donor card, then send it along with your *donation, to:

Arlene and I strongly believe that children are our future. We also love tennis and the Tennis Center. We have combined these three to make a positive contribution to our community.
